Even though this is MY journal that occasionally includes a myriad of haphazard, unsystematic [and systematic], meticulous, indiscriminate, imprudent, asymmetrical, sporadic, redistributed and insider gobbledygook [can you believe that this word is in the black dictionary?]……… I rarely advocate a specific issue or matter… [Here]… principally because a “private” journal is not made for such…right?  HOWEVER………….

We have to start picking up the momentum folks. I’m sure you are aware of the “dark nature” of the present and past administrations (Donkeys’ and Elephants’) and the dire course they are on and are “leading” us on, dragging us into the darkness along with them. Forcing us into a hateful place, a place where we don’t fit in and certainly don’t belong. It’s foreign to everything we’ve been raised to believe in.

Where is the goodness?  Where is the compassion?  Where is personal responsibility?  Where is hope?  Where is honesty?  Where is the light?

The government thinks they can get away with this via their clique in the judiciary. Passing laws by decision behind closed doors, giving approval to the most criminal actions against innocent people. And I’m not talking about terrorists either. I’m talking about us. Americans. Are you going to just stand by and let them get away with this? It has to STOP! It’s only going to stop when WE make the judiciary and legislators accountable for upholding their oath. They will need to think twice about making erroneous decisions.  Or, else they are OUT!

Take charge of your individuality. No one is going to take care of you but you. You and me and all of us together, the we that long for truth and justice that we’ve not witnessed for a long while, can make it happen. We are the real strength of this great country, TOGETHER, and not the government. Let’s use what we have to make it happen.  NOW!!!!

                               J.A.I.L. is it!

J.A.I.L. is the gateway to achieving justice for all, and the door is open so come on in. Everyone has to get in on this, to make it happen. Even if you just display the bumper sticker. The more folks are exposed to it, the better our odds of achieving our goal.

The government seems to be falling faster, denying freedom of speech rights and right to petition for redress of grievances and all the rest, closing off the possibilities of us ever having our country back, back to that glorious status that she had not so long ago. If you desire an America that represents Unity for Liberty and Justice for All, I strongly urge you to get on-board and support the J.A.I.L. mission. Judicial accountability should be at the top of the Tax-Honesty advocate/activist’s priority list. For Justice. Justice for all. Not just a few. But it’s up to us ALL to fight for it.

Join the J.A.I.L. chapter in your state now. Not tomorrow. Now.

Please.

  • Who here is beginning to believe that education in this country is not about learning to think, but adhering to dogma.  With just a little critical thinking and a firm understanding of the most basic of cognitive principles one could send a truly educated individual into a fit of laughter over the idiocy many colleges pass off as “knowledge”.

You Know You’re From Georgia When…

Sweet tea is THE drink. No questions.

When a waitress asks what you want to drink and you say Coke, she asks “What kind?”

“Ya’ll” is a word.

Atlanta is known as “The City.”

You know the difference between a hillbilly, a redneck, and a Southerner.

The one way to be killed in .5 seconds is to talk about somebody’s mama or talk bad to somebody’s mama.

Krispy Kreme dounuts are the only kind of dounuts you eat.

Fried chicken is a major part of your diet.

When the Goverment started telling people to stock up on duck tape, you were waaaaaaaaaay ahead of them.

You walk into someone’s house and people are sitting around smoking what they call “the garden”

On one side of the road there’s Wal-Mart and on the other is a cotton field

You greet people with”Howdy, Whachu doin?”

You know what a ‘dawg’ is.

You know people who consider a six pack and a bug zapper quality entertainment.

The directions to your house include “turn off the paved road.”

Your dog and your wallet are both on chains.

You still call the refrigerator the “icebox”.

You call it a cold Christmas if you don’t break out in a sweat in your new sweater.

Your whole town completely shuts down for 1 inch of snow or just the threat of snow

You know at least three streets named “Peachtree”

You don’t know anyone who drinks Pepsi.

The last thing you want to do is give another driver the finger…
unless your car is armored, your trigger finger is itchy and your AK-47 has a full clip.

It is not a shopping cart, it is a buggy.

People actually grow, eat and like okra!

You actually get these jokes and pass them on to other friends from Georgia.

You had better not engage in serious debate or discussion unless you are
willing to endure attacks that range from mere hostile bluster to libel.
Often the temptation is to retreat to complaining about the unfairness of
it all. But this is a plaintive admission of defeat. It is a unilateral
withdrawal from the field of combat.

Today, no one can honestly claim surprise at the venomous attacks against
those who take positions that are contrary to the canon laid down by those
who claim to shape opinions. Such attacks have been standard fare for some
time. Complaining about this obvious state of affairs does not elevate
one’s moral standing. And, it is hardly a substitute for the courage that
we badly need…

In my humble opinion, those who come to engage in debates of consequence,
and who challenge accepted wisdom, should expect to be treated badly.
Nonetheless, they must stand undaunted. That is required. And, that should
be expected. For, it is bravery that is required to secure freedom.

——————————————————

Even if one has a valid position, and is intellectually honest, he has to
anticipate nasty responses aimed at the messenger rather than the
argument. The objective is to limit the range of the debate, the number of
messengers, and the size of the audience. The aim is to pressure
dissenters to sanitize their message, so as to avoid being subjected to
hurtful ad hominem criticism. Who wants to be calumniated? It’s not worth
the trouble.

But is it worth it? Just what is worth it, and what is not? If one wants
to be popular, it is counterproductive to disagree with the majority. If
one just wants to tread water until the next vacation, it isn’t worth the
agony. If one just wants to muddle through, it is not worth it. In my
office, a little sign reads: “To avoid criticism, say nothing, do nothing,
be nothing.”

——————————————

What makes it all worthwhile? What makes it worthwhile is something
greater than all of us. There are those things that at one time we all
accepted as more important than our comfort or discomfort—if not our very
lives: Duty, honor, country! There was a time when all was to be set aside
for these. The plow was left idle, the hearth without fire, the homestead,
abandoned.

We all share a reasonable and, in many ways, admirable, reluctance to
leave the safety and peacefulness of private life to take up the larger
burdens and challenges of active citizenship. The price is high, and it is
easier and more enjoyable to remain within the shelter of our personal
lives and our local communities, rather than the larger state… When one
of my friends began feeling the urge to get involved, his spouse glared at
him and said, “Don’t even think about it. We love our life the way it
is.”
And that is not an unreasonable perspective, not at all. But is
reasonableness always our standard of review on this question? I hope not.

—————————————————-

I do believe that we are required to wade into those things that matter to
our country and our culture, no matter what the disincentives are, and no
matter the personal cost. There is not one among us who wants to be set
upon, or obligated to do and say difficult things. Yet, there is not one
of us who could in good conscience stand by and watch a loved one or a
defenseless person—or a vital national principle—perish alone, undefended,
when our intervention could make all the difference… If we think that
something is dreadfully wrong, then someone has to do something.

SIMPLY AWESOME!!!!

3D audio system developed by MP3 pioneer

http://www.newscientist.com/news/news.jsp?id=ns99996203

A sound system that creates immersive, three-dimensional audio for everyone in a room has been developed by one of the creators of the MP3 audio format.

Existing surround-sound technology only works if a listener is positioned correctly between a handful of speakers, in the so-called “sweet spot”. For those outside this area the effect is lessened or does not work at all.

The new technology uses a principle known as “wave field synthesis” to create complex audio illusions for everyone within a defined space. Computers are used to predict the way multiple sound waves will interact with each other within a space. Then, a multitude of small speakers – as many as 400 positioned around a large space – are used to mimic this interaction.

The end result can be dramatic, says Herbert Buchner, a 3D audio researcher at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg in Germany, and not involved in the project. “Using wave field synthesis you can control the whole room within the enclosed speaker area,” he told New Scientist. “You really do have a 3D impression. If you close your eyes, you feel like you can reach out and touch it.”

MP3 format

The technique was developed by a team at the Fraunhofer Institute for Media Technology, in Darmstadt, Germany, which included the institute’s director Karlheinz Brandenburg. He is one of several scientists from the institute credited with coming up with the groundbreaking audio technology MP3.

This compression standard allows CD audio files to be shrunk down in size without much loss of sound quality. Once converted into to the MP3 format, music files can be quickly transferred across the internet and stored in bulk on portable digital music players.

Brandenburg is hoping the new 3D audio system will have a similarly dramatic impact. It is being marketed by a university spin-off called Iosono, also based in Darmstadt, and is being demonstrated this week to movie and entertainment companies in the US.

Iosono’s technology can create the impression that a sound is being generated directly in front of one member of the audience. It can also be used to make a sound appear to move around an auditorium. For example, the rumble of a car could move up the centre of an auditorium.
