 My quote for the day…..

“Real men live to die for truth. Girly-men live to ‘kneel’ for favors.”< ?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

And now in relation to those who seem reluctant to concede to me about family law……..

…….There are lots of absolutes in the law and in the practice of it. The law exists, whether anyone has noticed a particular aspect of it or not. It’s sort of like how an invisible ‘thing’ might exist, and when light is shined on it in a certain way, it becomes visible.

A truly dedicated individual can see the invisible before it becomes visible.

Many people are good at following forms and the implication of the law that is within those forms. But the implication of the law is not the law itself. Forms do not make law – they reflect the law.

Most seem not to know that or simply don’t care.

They fill out forms because most disputes do not involve invisible law – they involve precedent which is visible law.

Now if there is the implication of law, operating as if it was the law, for a long period of time, then it stands to reason that the implication has BECOME the law for those who have accepted it as such. Obviously it is going to be difficult to wean these people off the implication since they have learned it so well.

Most people are reluctant to give up what they’ve learned even if it’s wrong. Many citizens of this country are great examples of this.

But if you want true justice, as opposed to imperfect compromise, then you must be willing to challenge the followers of implication law. But you must always be willing to challenge yourself as well.

Maybe challenging your own beliefs is the proper first step since the law is not about beliefs – rather it is about truth and justice.
