the inevitable downfall of hierarchical social and economic structures

“The medicalization of psychedelics is resisted by the religious and capitalist right [republican] wing because no one is fooling anyone that it is the first step toward a reintegration of psychedelics into society that will inevitably lead to the downfall of hierarchical social and economic structures that require masses of bleating sheep to willfully consent to their own exploitation and oppression.”

This phrase alone has been the heart of a much heated debate revolving around the personal defense of egos on both sides of the coin, and the scrutinization of the literature of communication… interesting enough given that it is by freedom, not only of choice, but also of exploration, that we all participate in these conversations, all of us venturing the same new horizons.

Meanwhile, the true heart of the phrase remains frigid. As stated, the general reasoning behind the resistance of psychedelics by the ruling bodies within society is fear, fear of a decline in control, mainly economic. I think this is a fairly obvious assumption… the increase in creativity and awareness produced by psychedelics does promote curiosity, with a trailing tendency towards structural change.

However, the nucleus of the topic still remains. The growth in evolution of the human consciousness is inevitable, with or without the aid of psychedelics…although as pointed out by even minimal research into the subject, they have played a major role in giving birth to every single one of us, and our levels of awareness. This is going to “lead to the downfall of hierarchical social and economic structures”, and the “masses of bleating sheep” are going to feel the repercussions. Whether any of us favors it or not, we are those “bleating sheep”. I understand this is not a social economics class, but being the pioneers in direction of this creative evolution of the human psyche… given that our levels of awareness are that of not only self realization….but also a global realization of this evolution, I believe we have a responsibility to find the foresight necessary to prepare. I have only begun to explore the possible problems, solutions, and related outcomes of this insight, and am extremely curious about other opinions and responses on the subject.

I really enjoyed your input here. I have no idea who you are, but I’m glad to encounter more mature attitudes among the vast sea of whining.
