Ask yourself once question, “What one great thing would you dare to dream if you knew you could not fail?”
For most people this is a question you’ve never even dared to consider, but now, you just may think of nothing else. If you haven’t realized (in a great, blinding flash of clarity), the main thing separating you from your hopes and dreams is the belief in your ability to achieve them.
Most of us are like this for most of our lives. There are many things that we want to be, and have and do, but we hold back. We are unsure because we lack the confidence necessary to step out in faith in the direction of our dreams.
Determine What You Really Want
Just think: What difference would it make in your life if you had an absolutely unshakable confidence in your ability to achieve anything you really put your mind to? What would you want and wish and hope for? What would you dare to dream if you believed in yourself with such deep conviction that you had no fears of failure whatsoever?
Be True To Yourself
The key is to be true to yourself, to be true to the very best that is in you, and to live your life consistent with your highest values and aspirations.
Take some time to think about who you are and what you believe in and what is important to you. Decide that you will never compromise your integrity by trying to be or say or feel something that is not true for you.
Have the courage to accept yourself as you really are-not as you might be, or as someone else thinks you should be-and know that, taking everything into consideration, you are a pretty good person.
Make A Plan To Achieve It
Being true to yourself means knowing exactly what you want and having a plan to achieve it. Lasting self-confidence comes when you absolutely know that you have the capacity to get from where you are to wherever you want to go. You are behind the wheel of your life. You are the architect of your destiny and the master of your fate.
Use the “Act As If” Principle
Act as though it were impossible to fail. Act as though you already had a high level of self-confidence. And continually ask yourself, “What one great thing would I dare to dream if I knew I could not fail?” Whatever your answer, you can have it if you can dream it, and if you have the self-confidence to go out and get it.
Action Exercises
Here are three steps you can take immediately to put these ideas into action.
First, resolve to step out in faith in the direction of your dreams; just do it!
Second, ask yourself, “What one great thing would I dare to dream if I knew I could not fail?”
Third, be true to yourself, to the very best that is in you. Never compromise!

Does Karma Really Exist?
It just so happens that my ex’s (and unfortunate mother of my only child) Attorney (during our bitter custody battle), Gary M Wood, died very recently from a massive heart attack.
Some may call it fate……but I call it Karma for him being a lying son-of-a-bitch who helped in deceiving the family court and with his subsequent legal guidance that almost completely relieved me of all of my custodial rights (to my son) for no other reason than for his amusement i suppose…..not to mention the fact that he illegally counseled and ‘allowed’ my son’s mother to hold him hostage from me for over 1.5 years, thus deliberately causing me to miss out on crucial elements (& times) of his life.

LiveJournal recently introduced ads on some pages for free users who wish to ‘upgrade’ their membership. More interestingly, they also added a new restriction to their TOS (XVI 17 b.) banning users from using or providing ad-blocking software. The new TOS also permits them to immediately terminate the account of anyone they catch doing this.

I used to think that unconditional love meant a sort of blissful unawareness of the faults of the one you’re loving. Meaning, we just don’t see the problems. Now, I would define unconditional love as: continuing to love a person even when they are driving you nutterz.
The only way I can do that at all is by knowing what Love is.
The question becomes, ‘How do we love when people are being decidedly unlovable’?
For me, it helps to remember that Love is divine, wholly perfect and omnipresent, and that Love is indeed the Creator of the universe, including each one of us.
When I’m thinking along these lines, it becomes clearer that those whom I would love are, in fact, emanations of that Love. This means that whatever unlovable traits the person is showing externally aren’t the final word on who they truly are as an expression of Love.
Sometimes I’ll come face to face with a moment when I realize I should be loving unconditionally right then. It’s like time stands still, and I have a choice to make and no matter what’s happening, I can choose to love with understanding rather than react with anger or impatience.
Just this morning, my 6 year old son did this for me. I was upset at him and being pretty verbal about it. He told me later, though, that he’d realized there was nothing else he could do but love me. He said that no matter what I said, he was thinking, “I love you, Dad.”
I love this passage from “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures” by Mary Baker Eddy:
“Human affection is not poured forth vainly, even though it meet no return. Love enriches the nature, enlarging, purifying, and elevating it. The wintry blasts of earth may uproot the flowers of affection, and scatter them to the winds; but this severance of fleshly ties serves to unite thought more closely to the divine, for Love supports the struggling heart until it ceases to sigh over the world and begins to unfold its wings for heaven”.
It seems as if I’ve been learning about Love my whole life, but there’s always more to learn and explore and demonstrate. My mission now? To put unconditional love into practice every day.
