Clarification

That line in particular (and nothing in the rest of the... uh... rant...) is an example taken from the life of a person I know through a friend. Quit job, became stripper...

I don't know what your situation is/was, but she... I hate talking behind a persons back... But I felt she made a bad decision for very silly reasons.

It wasn't economy/employment rates/any outside factor that forced her into it.

When I originally posted this in my journal, she had it out with some of my friends and I. And I gave a rebuttle in a future post. You can feel free to read it, it's all public (I think)

And the blond stereotype was used simply because it conveyed my meaning with imagery that was accessable to all readers, and saved me from going into detail describing the small portion of blondes that DO fit that stereotype, because that was another rant entirely and would have taken WAY more room, and I'm way too verbose as it is.

Hope I didn't offend, I don't know you or anything about you, and I certainly wouldn't make assumptions about you for being a stripper or blonde. I'd get to know you before I insulted you, at the very least. *grin*

So before you quit your well-paying, stable day job, and leave your life of loathsome responsibility and relative security, you have to ask yourself... Would the goddess within rather make $50,000 a year under a glass ceiling, or $100 a dance on top of a table?

I have been on both sides of the spectrum, and I think you're oversimplifying. You may also be ignoring factors like socioeconomic standing, economy/employment rates, etc.

And why all the stereotyping of blondes as ditzy whores? Hey, now.

What a beautiful rant! (speaking critically, of course, because I don't know if I agree with you :P.) I hate reading a badly done rant. Yours on the other hand was nicely done >:).

Hear yourself roar... LOL.
