Halloween Question

……..what the fuck is up with these kids that expect me to give them candy when they don’t even bother to dress up for Halloween.

Not to sound elitist (or some other description that eludes me right now), but do they think they are gonna become awash in sweets when they are too damn lazy to entertain me?

oh and another thing………why is LJ giving me constant errors all of a sudden.

hmmm-you could dress as a cop next year and arrest them for extortion/obtaining money with menaces or whatever it is… ;)
I agree 100%-if someone trick or treats they should definately have a costume. I would feel the same. Not that it happens much if at all in the UK (trick or treating that is).

I had that problem last year. I would ask them “what are you dressed up as?” and they would say “myself” and I replied “Ah, ok, then go get yourself your own candy then”

And it really bothers me that there are like 16+ older kids trick or treating. I’m not sure why, but I guess I figure they should be doing something else then mooching free candy.

Too OLD? bleh……………

A couple of older kids last night, after I asked them why they weren’t dressed up, actually stood there and told me that they were TOO OLD FOR DRESSING UP.

I replied,

……….you already know what’s coming……….

“WELL THEN, I GUESS YOU’RE TOO OLD TO TRICK-OR-TREAT AND ENJOY SOME OF MY CANDY THEN…………next!”

We had several of those who didn’t dress up and wanted candy. Hell, I dressed up and was handing out candy. I even mentioned, “Effort would be nice next year- but you look like you drove yourself here anyways so I won’t hold my breath.” Nah, it’s not just you.
