Y’know, it’s odd… When I read your posts, you and I have the same basic complaints about the government, but almost opposite ideal solutions. The thing that really strikes me as odd about it, is on paper, the liberties and freedoms that we both want to attain with either system of government we have in our heads as being ideal are exactly the same… privacy, the right to bear arms, the right to choose what goes into our own bodies… etc…

I think the only difference is I’m totally fine with taxes and a federal system to run healthcare, education, and military/public safety/fire to attain all those things, and I’m guessing you want that to be privately funded.

Either way you can get corruption and whatnot, and I guess you and I just weigh the pros and cons differently between socialism and… I’ll call it libertarianism for a lack of a better description of what I gather is your personal political view, though I’m not sure that would be entirely correct, just like calling me a socialist wouldn’t be entirely correct either.

Just sort of an exchange of random thoughts. Good post.
