How to Create Your Own Beatport DJ Profile

My new Beatport DJ Page. If you’d like a page like this, read on to find out how to set yours up.

Beatport has finally decided that their DJ Profile service is ready for primetime, and it now appears anyone who has a Beatport account can create their own DJ profile on the service without needing a special invite.

Having a page on Beatport gives you your own Beatport URL (mine, for example, is http://dj.beatport.com/audiomind), where you can have a photo, profile, chart, event calendar, Youtube video, SoundCloud link and Facebook comments. So if you think this looks cool, read on for the extremely simple instructions on how to get yours.

How to get your own DJ profile on Beatport

  1. Log in – If you have an account, log in. If not, sign up for one
  2. Go to “My Profile” – Click your name in the top-right of the screen, and in the menu that opens, select your profile
  3. Follow the instructions to create your page – You can add a picture, fill in your preferred genres, your chart, your upcoming events, even add videos
  4. Now, post it in the comments below this post! – Get some free traffic from this website to your new Beatport DJ Profile with my blessing. Once you’re setup, just post your link in the comments below

The benefits of a Beatport DJ Profile
While this should never be a replacement for eventually getting your own website up, if you’re serious about promoting yourself as a DJ, it gives you the search engine optimization (SEO) benefit of having your name on a huge website. It’s also a cool way of showcasing what and where you play. Just make sure to keep it updated!

Remember to post your Beatport Profile in the comments below! Good luck setting your page up.

Is there a way to add your website URL to a DJ profile. I have set up my Beatport profile at: http://dj.beatport.com/alainattias although I couldn’t then see how I can add URL for my website itself.

You can put it in your description area and it will turn into a link, but there is no dedicated area to specifically put a url. Thanks Alain.
