I am floating around the idea of actually taking a trip down to the disaster stricken areas of New Orleans/Louisiana to help with the total evacuation of those areas after hearing on NPR earlier today that ‘officials’ down in NO are asking that anyone who owns a bus/van….anything similar…….to come down and help them evacuate these people from NOLA.
Does anyone know if there are any large bus/van rental outlets in and/or around Charlotte?
Next week is my vacation and since gas prices have shot up and I don’t much care to venture out to the beach/fun/etc, bc I’ll break the bank in such ways, I felt that it was almost necessary that I take my azz down there and help get those people out, no matter the fact that I would only be able to pull a limited number of people out. Obviously you can’t rely on the government’s help, that much is clear.
They have to go somewhere and they can’t stay there, and since i don’t have to work and bc i just so happen to have a little bit of vacation money, I have no excuse WHY I [we] SHOULD NOT HELP!!!!!
DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS/THOUGHTS/SUGGESTIONS ON ACCEPTING SUCH A QUEST?
