Be wary of judging some digital SLRs by their mega pixel rating-Nikon cameras have far superior quality lenses to Canon and this results in much better images at lower megapixel ratings (and thus better images at smaller sizes, saving you memory with no loss of quality). In the end I would suspect your choice should be between a Canon and a Nikon-and that it will be a features vs quality issue, and perhaps if you are used to eithers analog cameras, what you prefer from past use.

Ok, reread the post and saw that you wanted an slr camera. I still don’t know what SLR means or does or whatever. I searched canon SLR and I’m assuming you want digital?
