is it somehow extremely weird to ask the dentist that you prefer not to be ‘numbed’ while getting cavities drilled and filled?

she gave me one the wildest looks i have ever recvd in my life and i am curious if that is a strange request…..

maybe i just like that odd pain of drilling in your teeth……and if that makes me strange….so be it, i guess.
